Day 1:
Your tour starts with an early transfer to Zanzibar Airport, followed by a domestic flight to Seronera airstrip, located in the heart of the legendary Serengeti. The park is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros). But also a lot of other species such as giraffes, cheetahs, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, impalas, hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species can be spotted in the vast national park.
Within half an hour of disembarkation of the aircraft, you are already starting with your first game drive of this unique adventure!
Day 2:
Another full day of game drives to explore the unique Serengeti National Park – catch up on the wildlife you missed on the first day! Our experienced safari guides are knowledgeable about the park’s wildlife, ecosystems, and behavior of animals. They are also very skilled at tracking animals and providing insightful information about the park’s natural wonders. Your can enjoy the game drives from the comfort of your 4×4 Safari vehicles with captain chairs and large windows for optimal wildlife viewing. The vehicles also feature pop-up roofs, allowing you to have unobstructed views and capture great photos.
Day 3:
Today you can enjoy a little rest with a relaxed morning in Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma Lodge. In the afternoon a local guide will accompany you on a walking Safari in the Ikoma Wildflife Area. An armed ranger will be there for your protection as well while you will have the opportunity to explore new territory and perhaps follow the animals on foot! The walking safari takes approximately 1.5 hrs hours. What you will encounter is always a surprise. After your walk, you will be taken to the top of a hill for sundowners while enjoying the sunset over the Serengeti.
After dinner you will start your special night game drive. A spotlight is fitted to the vehicle and before you know it you catch the first reflections of the animals’ eyes. The night is another world altogether out there, interesting action of the nocturnal animals, different shades and shadows and unknown sounds. Typical animals of the night are Springhares (a nocturnal animal that looks like a cross between a kangaroo and a rabbit), Bushbabies, civets and genet cats, a rare Aardvark or Porcupine and others.
Day 4:
After breakfast your Safari guide will bring you back to Seronera Airstrip, located in the central Serengeti. Even during this drive you can enjoy the many wonders of the Serengeti National Park. Your plane will take off from the unpaved field for your return flight to the Zanzibar Archipelago, where a driver will take you back to your hotel.
